Spring Newsletter 2016
The strange Spring of 2016 had everything budding out early due to the unseasonable warm weather. Then came the frost which killed off those early buds. Fortunately, although we have some losses, only a small portion of the Chardonnay and Viognier vines had budded out. We still have to worry about a late frost up until May 10, but hope we will be spared this year.
We planted 600 new Cabernet Sauvignon vines to replace those that died during the previous frigid winters. Hopefully we will get a crop from them starting in 2019.
Looking forward to seeing many of you at our Open House April 30 and May 1. If not then, our Club Member party is scheduled for June 11. Invitations will go out in May.
Stay healthy and enjoy drinking Autumn Hill wine.
